With my background in visual design, I strive to marry function and aesthetics in every project I embark on.

Hello, thanks for taking the time to look at my projects! I'm Nicholas, a User Experience designer at Designit. I’ve spent the last two years working with leading organisations like Apple, Aviva, and RSA, to envision innovative products and re-design complex business tools. But first, a little about my background…

In 2019, I graduated from the University of Reading with a B.A. in Graphic Communication. Graphic Design has such a rich history and I'm proud to be able to take inspiration from it every day. I most enjoy the work of Constructivist designer, El Lissitzky, as well as Swiss Style poster design.

After graduating, I began delving deep into the details of product design, writing my dissertation on the growth of UX, learning about the end-to-end design process, and working with incredible mentors (Leo Mattei + Adam Ruf) to become industry-ready.

I took on my first challenge at TSB Bank as a junior UX designer, envisioning the future of retail banking with experienced researchers and designers. Feeling inspired to apply my experience in a more dynamic setting, I moved to Designit, where I’ve been working with major clients on more delivery-focused work.

In my free time I kick pads at my local Thai boxing gym, as well as play acoustic guitar out in nature. Feel free to listen to one of my own pieces, From River To Firmament. You can also find me enjoying sixties Italian cinema once in a while. But my favourite pass-time has to be reading about ancient history and cultures, from the Stoics of Rome to the Rishis of India. There is something to be learned from everyone, anywhere in the world.

From my journey so far, I consider myself to be easy-going, curious, driven and empathetic towards others. Please do get in touch if you’d like to work with me:
